PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video data distribution system which is capable of instantly providing video data in response to a request with the device constitution equivalent to an NVOD(near video on demand) system and is desirable for serving to a VOD(video on demand) system. SOLUTION: This device attains a service equivalent to the VOD system by providing a data storage part 22 in a receiver 20 in the NVOD system. Namely, the device stores data of the first part of video data in the data storage part 22 in advance to immediately reproduce the stored piece of data when reproduction is required. On the other hand, the pieces of data after the first one are distributed from a transmitter 10 like the NVOD system to be buffered in the receiver 20 to be continuously after data of the first part. |
