STABILIZING DEVICE FOR COMPRESSION VIBRATION IN COMBUSTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control or stabilize the irregular combustion vibration compression in a combustor by providing means for stabilizing the compression vibration in the combustor to reduce the amplitude of the compression vibration in a combustion camber. SOLUTION: The flow of oxidizer from an oxygen supply 14 and flow of fuel in a tube 17 from a fuel supply 16 are premixed in an annular chamber 21. When the premixing is intraduced to the combustion area of the upstream side end area of a combustion chamber 10, it is burned, thermal product is discharged from the chamber 10 via the discharge means of the downstream side area of the chamber 10, and a pilot flame 23 of the stable state is generated. The flame 23 is extended to the downstream side of the combustion area to establish a main front surface flame 20 to be maintained. A pilot fuel control system 36 pulsates the injection or discharge of the pilot fuel to a pilot chamber 12 via an on-off valve 27. This forms the discontinuous change or pulsation of the mixture to be sequentially charged from the chamber 12 to combustion area 22.
