TONER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner giving a sharp image, having improved low-temp. fixability and anti-offsetting property, not causing fog even in use over a long period of time and having stable electrostatic chargeability. SOLUTION: This toner is formed with a compsn. contg. a polymer, a colorant, a releasing agent and an electrostatic charge controlling agent. The polymer does not practically contain a THF (tetrahydrofuran)-insoluble component and the THF-soluble component of the polymer has a main peak in the mol.wt. region of 3×10<3> -3×10<4> and a sub-peak or a shoulder in the mol.wt. region of 1×10<5> -3×10<6> in its chromatogram by GPC. The acid value (AVL) of the low mol.wt. polymer part and that (AVH) of the high mol.wt. polymer part satisfy the condition of AVL>AVH. The releasing agent contains polyolefin modified with an arom. vinyl monomer.
