PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition comprising hydrogen peroxide or a peroxide capable of producing the hydrogen peroxide in an aqueous solution and cyanates in a specific ratio, having a specified pH range, not having an irritative odor, and excellent in bleaching and washing power and a sterilizing effect against stains. SOLUTION: This detergent composition for the sports shoes giving aqueous solutions having pH of 7-13, free from irritative odor and excellent in bleaching and washing power against stains adhered to the sports shoes is obtained by dissolving (A) 0.1-60wt.% as hydrogen oxide of hydrogen peroxide or a peroxide (e.g. sodium carbonate-hydrogen peroxide adduct) capable of producing hydrogen peroxide in an aqueous solution and (B) 0.1-30wt.% of an alkali metal cyanate (e.g. sodium cyanate) or ammonium cyanate in water, and, if necessary, further adding 0.05-5 pts.wt. of an enzyme (e.g. protease) and/or 0.1-30 pts.wt. of an surfactant (e.g. polyoxyethylene alkyl ether) to 100 pts.wt. of the composition. |
