PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to clean a filter easily and prevent the generation of odor from the filter. SOLUTION: A titanium dioxide-made photocatalyst 22 is provided in a filter 17 mounted inside a hood body 11. A lamp box 26 provided with a lamp 26 which emits light including ultraviolet rays is provided on the lower part of a front filter 17 inside the hood main body 11. Accompanied by the drive of a fan 12, contaminated substances, such as lamp black are caught with the filter 17. When the light of the lamp 26 is emitted to the photocatalyst 22, the photocatalyst 22 is activated so that the contaminated substances deposited on the filter 17 may be subjected to oxidative destruction. |
