FIELD: methods of cleaning and inhibition of products of copper and copper-steel wire. SUBSTANCE: copper surface is cleaned by removing freshly formed oxide films with acetone. Copper is oxidized with inhibited acid solution of copper or iron chloride at 20- 25 C for 15-20 seconds. Oxidizer solutions comprise, mole/l: 2.0-2.5 iron (III) chloride; 0.4-0.5 hydrochloric acid; 0.025-0.033 benzotriazole; 1.0-1.5 acetone; up to 1 l deionized water; 1.0-2.0 copper (II) chloride; 0.4-0.5 hydrochloric acid; 0.025-0.033 benzotriazole; 1.0-1.5 acetone; up to 1 l deionized water. Products with oxidized surface are washed in acetone till they become clarified, then neutralized with alkaline solution having pH of 12, washed deionized water and acetone. The copper surface treated by the technology described above is not subjected to atmospheric corrosion for long time and guaranteed period of storage of products of copper-steel wire between operations is one month. EFFECT: more efficient cleaning and inhibition methods. |
