PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the manpower of the inputting work of a calculation expression by inserting the calculation expression in a sentence, inputting a numerical value, executing an arithmetic processing, displaying the arithmetic result at a prescribed location and writing the result in a memory. SOLUTION: While this device operates as a document preparing device, a calculation expression input mode detection means 201 always operates and monitors whether the input mode is the input mode of the calculation expression or not. When the calculation expression input mode is detected, a termination detection means 202 is started and starts the operation detecting the termination of the calculation expression input mode. The symbols of operation discrimination means 203A installed in an operation means 203 discriminates the symbols of operation used in each operation expression and starts various kinds of operation programs provided on the operation means 203 in accordance with the discrimination. A numerical value is delivered to the started operation program and the operation is executed. This arithmetic result is delivered to a transfer means 209, the result is transferred to the sentence preparation processing means stored in a storage area 111, the result is written in the location designated by the termination symbol of a sentence which is being prepared and the result is displayed on a display device 108. |
