PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the information loss to output the picture data adapted to the size for output without paying operator's attention to a document setting position. SOLUTION: When a document picture is read by a reader part 102 and read picture data is transmitted through a communication control part 105, rotation processing is performed in accordance with the document setting direction; and if the size of the document picture exceeds the main scanning width for transmission, both ends of the read picture are deleted to perform centering, and thereafter, data is transmitted. If the size of the document picture is larger than the size for transmission by a prescribed extent or larger, the portion corresponding to the size for transmission is transmitted without centering. |
