The parallel lifting fork prongs have strips engaging under the beads formed on the barrels. There are means being for adjusting the prongs to suit different barrel diameters, including strips (5, 6), giving different clearance between the prongs (2), fitted one above the other to the latter, engaging under the beads (8) formed on the taper-ended barrels (8). The height between strips can increase with the barrel sizes, and the strips can extend for the entire prong length. For each pairs of prongs there can be a strip pivoting for a limited amount on an axis running along the prong between roughly vertical and horizontal positions, in the latter position resting on the fixed lower strip and extending beyond it toward the adjacent prong. |
