Heading C2C. 6-Azauridine is prepared by contacting 6- azauridylic acid or a salt thereof with a 6- azauridine producing micro-organism belonging to a genus of the group consisting of Escherichia, Micrococcus, Aerobacter, Anthrobacter, Mucor, Rhizopus, Bacillus, Brevibacterium, Penicillium, Candida and Streptomyces in an aqueous medium and the 6-azauridine thereby produced is recovered from the aqueous medium. |
