The tangled and unsized synthetic filament yarn of 100-1000 dtex, for use in woven fabrics for airbags and other industrial applications, has separate filaments not thicker than dtex. The yarn has a mean opening length of 2-10 cm. The coefft. K1 for the yarn tangled point stability is more than 0.6 and the other stability coefft. K2 is more than 0.3. These yarn characteristics are before weaving. Pref. the coefft. K3, for yarn strength and stretch and the K2 stability coefft. is more than 400. The yarn is composed of filaments of polyamide or polyester, polyamide 6.6, polyamide 4.6 or polyamide 6.
