PURPOSE: To provide a timepiece device having improved timepiece accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A reference clock signal CA based on a vibrator 2 is generated by a signal generation part 1. After the signal CA is divided by a dividing part 3 into a minute signal SA of 1Hz, it is supplied to the terminal (a) of a switch 10. During receiving of television broadcasting, an image signal SV obtained from a receiving signal RF in a signal processing part 11 is supplied to a synchronization separation part 12 and a horizontal synchronization signal HS is separated therefrom. The signal HS is supplied to the terminal (b) of the switch 10 after it is divided into a minute signal SB of 1Hz through the dividing part 13. It is judged by a synchronization detection part 14 that the signal HS is supplied, and the movable terminal of the switch 10 is made to serve as the side of the terminal (b) by a control signal CT from a microcomputer 15. The minute signal SB is supplied to a timepiece part 4a, and high accuracy timepiece operation is performed. When the broadcasting is not received, it is judged by the synchronization detection part 14 that the signal HS is not supplied, and the switch 10 is made to serve as the side of the terminal (a). The minute signal SA is supplied to the timepiece part 4a and the conventional timepiece operation is performed. |
