<p>PURPOSE: To improve frictional characteristics under a high temperature as well as to suppress a failure occurrence rate in the manufacture of a brake frictional material, and prevent occurrence of an abnormal sound during the braking time. CONSTITUTION: Piled worsted-like concretions whose diameters are 1-3mm consisting of ceramic fiber are contained in the basic material of a brake frictional material. It is preferable that the content of the ceramic fiber is 5-20vol% per the brake frictional material. Also, as to lubricant contained in the brake frictional material, it is preferably used that the total content of graphite, antimony trisulfide and molybdenum disulfide comes to 5-10vol%, while using mica in such a condition that its content comes to 5-10vol% per the brake frictional material.</p> |
