PURPOSE: To reduce the vibration of a stepping motor in its starting time, by so controlling the applied voltage to an inverter portion of its driving controller that the sensed one of the current fed to the inverter portion is regulated to a predetermined value, and by so controlling the applied voltage to the stepping motor that a current controlling portion and the inverter portion of its driving controller cooperate with each other. CONSTITUTION: A micro-step driving is realized through a PWM method in an inverter portion 40, by a PWM control voltage signal generated through a signal processing portion 70 and an excitation signal generating portion 60 based on pulse commands given from the outside. Further, by a current control portion 20 provided independently of these portions, a current control is performed. Therefore. the output from the inverter portion 40 selects a PWM control resolution in the scope of the modulation factor of 0 to 100% only by the rotational angle of a stepping motor 50, and independently of this, the applied voltage to the inverter portion 40 is so controlled by a current controlling portion 20 that a predetermined current is fed to the inverter portion 40. Therefore, even in case of the operation by a low current, the PWM resolution is never lowered. |
