PURPOSE: To manufacture a gas discharge type display device which involves less variation in the electric discharge voltage, has a long lifetime, and is excellent in the quality of display by furnishing an inter-layer insulation layer excellent in the dimensional accuracy and voltage withstand characteristics. CONSTITUTION: An anode bus 4a and anode electrode 4b are formed on a back plate 3 and the first insulation film 11a is formed on a resistance material 8 by the printing method, and thereover the second insulation film 11b is formed by the photo-lithographic method, and an inter-layer insulation layer 11 is accomplished from these two members. On its surface a fluorescent substance 9 is formed, and a front plate 1 where a group of cathode wires 2 are installed, is arranged as confronting the back plate 3 while a bulkhead 5 is interposed in between. |
