PURPOSE: To simplify a multi-color printing unit, to insert a color surface to the arbitrary page of a multi-page newspaper even without using a bay window turn bar, to lower the entire height of a newspaper rotary press, to shorten the entire length and to rapidly and easily perform operations such as regulation and preparation. CONSTITUTION: The passage of a web from an arch type perfecting printing unit 5 is altered by a guide roller. The web which is passed through multi-color printing units 11a, 11b can be selected, a multi-color printed surface is inserted to the arbitrary page of a multi-page newspaper to eliminate a bay window turn bar in the units 11a, 11b. A vertical perfecting printing unit 15 is disposed in series in a horizontal direction, and a plurality of printing cylinders 8, 9 of the unit 15 are disposed substantially vertically. |
