The motor bike has a frame to which is fixed an engine block and an oscillating arm (20) supported by the rear wheel (50) axle (40). The arm oscillates about an axle (22) fixed to the frame. The engine drives the rear wheel through a transmission belt (46) which rotates a crown wheel (44) on the side of the rear wheel. The oscillating arm is formed by first (28) and second (30) pivoted uprights connected by two horizontal bars (42,43) forming an approximate rectangle. The first arm upright, on the side where the crown wheel is located, is nearer the radial plane of symmetry of the rear wheel. The second upright passes outside the rectangle to enable mounting a wider tyre on the rear wheel without rubbing against the transmission belt. |
