1448865 Aerosol compositions containing food additives or lubricants E R HOWARD Ltd 19 March 1974 [23 March 1973] 14103/73 Heading C4X An aerosol container containing an aerosol composition, the aerosol composition containing an oil-based food additive or food lubricant, is prepared by pressurizing a mixture of the food additive or food lubricant and a diluent therefor, the diluent being liquid at room temperature (about 15À5‹ C.) and having a boiling point of less than 100‹ C. at normal atmospheric pressire, with a gaseous propellant in a pressure saturation column and introducing into the aerosol container the resulting pressurized single phase mixture of food additive or food lubricant, diluent and propellant. In the examples mixtures containing sage extract, alcohol, or natural lecithin containing lecithin, cephalin and inositol phosphatides together with cocoa butter and refined cotton seed oil and trichlorofluoromethane are fed into a pressure saturation column, pressurized with carbon dioxide and the pressurized mixtures pressure filled into aerosol containers. |
