PURPOSE: To make Mossbauer measurement even with white light by allowing the white light to transmit a<57> Fe foil 3, and feeding the white light cut with X-rays in a specific range to a sample. CONSTITUTION: A<57> Fe foil 3 is vibrated by a driving device 4 so that the energy of the X-rays to be cut can be swept. When the white light X-rays having the cut energy component equal to the energy level difference of a sample 5 are fed to the sample 5, no resonance absorption occurs, and the number of transmitted γ-rays becomes equal to the number of incident X-rays. When the white light X-rays having the cut energy component not equal to the energy level difference of the sample 5 are fed to the sample 5, resonance absorption occurs, and the number of transmitted γ-rays is reduced. When the radiation source speed or X-ray energy is stocked on the horizontal axis 9a and the count number of the transmitted γ-rays is stocked on the vertical axis 9b, a protruded energy spectrum 9c corresponding to the energy level difference of the sample 5 can be obtained with white light. |
