PURPOSE: To solve the problem of securing the space for arranging a speaker and to realize the sound field reproduction of the surround sound which is equivalent to conventional sound by arranging the speaker of each channel in front of a viewer. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a virtual sound image forming means for localizing surround channel sound signal 2 at a prescribed position and various kinds of speakers. The arrangement of the speakers are as follow. A first speaker 18a for surround channel, a speaker 19a for left channel and a first speaker 20a for center channel are arranged in this order from the upper part on the front left side of an audience toward the lower part. A second speaker 18b for surround channel, a speaker 19b for right channel and a second speaker 20b for center channel are arranged in this order and in the same height as that of the speaker corresponding to each channel arranged on the front left side of the audience from the upper part on the front right side of the listener toward the lower part. |
