PURPOSE: To provide a signal cable for wheel speed sensor which excels in the mechanical characteristics and endurance against oil and which enables small diameter construction. CONSTITUTION: An element conductor is formed from a copper alloy wire containing 0.1wt.%, or more tin and having a section area below 0.02mm<2> . and on a fiber core having a tensile strength of 100N or more, a plurality of such element conductors are in alignment wound transversely so that the resistance value becomes 10Ω/m, and thus the intended conductor is accomplished. On this conductor, a plurality of insulated cores covered with an insulating material are twined together, and its periphery is covered with a sheath consisting of vinyl chloride resin or a mixture thereof with thermoplastic polyurethane resin.
