EVALUATING METHOD FOR QUALITY OF PACKET DELAY IN BUFFER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To obtain a evaluating method for delay quality with comparatively high reliability in which a packet is processed in a short time with respect to the packet transfer in the buffer system. CONSTITUTION: A prescribed statistic quantity of a multiplex packet traffic flow is estimated based on a packet traffic flow in an optional line by using a traffic characteristic parameter relating to a packet occurrence interval time and a buffer system parameter relating to a packet processing time. Then the multiplex packet traffic flow is approximated by the exponent distribution equal to the estimated statistic quantity. Then the packet delay quality is evaluated based on the exponent distribution approximated to the multiplex packet traffic flow.
