PURPOSE: To display a prescribed video image onto a slave screen of a television receiver and to display caption information superimposed on the video image. CONSTITUTION: A prescribed video image received by a television receiver 100 is converted into digital video data and compressed and recorded on a mini-disk 300 set to a disk loading section 200 together with caption information superimposed on the data. In this case, prescribed index information is recorded. When a remote commander 400 selects prescribed information in the index information displayed on the screen 100A, the corresponding video image is displayed on a slave screen 100C and the corresponding caption information is displayed on a caption display area 100B. |
