The wheel has a dished hub plate having an opening (8) the edge (12) of which is curved inwards. The light unit (9) has a holder (10) insertable in the opening. The holder can be provided with an edge to match the inside curve of the opening in the plate. The light unit can be provided with a light lens (17) which can be a diffusing lens or screen. The light screen lies on the edge of the light holder. The axis of the light holder lies at an acute angle to the axis (13) of the hub (6).
