PURPOSE: To provide the infrared remote control system including an infrared remote control signal converting device which malfunctions a little, has a flat top surface, and never spoils beauty by providing a shield plate which can be stored in the device on the top surface of a video deck and a converted IR signal transmitter which is adjustable and movable on the reverse side of the shield plate. CONSTITUTION: On the top surface of the video deck 2 as the infrared remote control signal converting device, the shield plate 16 which can be stored in the device is provided to securely cut of disturbance, and on the reverse side of the shield plate 16, the IR (infrared) signal transmitter 7 which is adjustable and movable is provided to enable secure transmission to external devices which are various in reception part position. When an IR signal 4 is inputted from the remote controller 1 of the video deck 2 to the IR signal receiver 6, a microcomputer having a signal converting function converts the IR signal 4 into a signal for a cable box 3 on condition that the input is a control command to the cable box 3, outputs the converted IR signal 5 from the converted IR signal transmitter 7, and controls the cable box 3 and video deck 2 through only the remote controller 1 of the video deck 2 without malfunction. |
