FIELD: electrical engineering; battery chargers. SUBSTANCE: offered device provides different parameter asymmetrical current to ensure charging of storage batteries to capacity. Negative half-cycle of asymmetrical current is formed in process of discharging of storage battery 7 and recharging of capacitors 4.1-4.3 at successive delivery of control pulses to thyristors 3.1-3.3 with definite phase shift relative to each other. Duration of positive half-cycle of asymmetrical current is provided by time delay between capacitor charging cycles. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 cl, 4 dwg
