PURPOSE: To provide a speed change control device for automatic transmission which prevents the racing of an engine and unable speed change when a power on-off judgment means. CONSTITUTION: When a TCU 7 diagnoses a power ON-OFF judgment means to be faulty based on the load information from an ECU 6, all up-shifts are considered to have been performed under power on, and all down-shifts are considered to have been performed under power off so as to control a hydraulic controller 5 drivingly. Thus, in speed change, the timing of slip of a release side engaging element is always matched with the timing of engagement of a connection side engagement element in a transmission main body 4, and the racing of an engine at up-shifting and unable speed change at down-shifting are prevented. |
