The insulation stripper includes one block (1) with a V-notched face (4), which slides on columns (2) fixed in the other (1'), which holds the cable against the V with a pressure set by a milled nut (5) on one column. Eccentric mounting of the cutter (13) allows the cutting depth to be varied.The movable block (1) carries a stop-plate (8), notched to match the block, on two sliding columns (6) parallel to the cable axis. By depressing a spring-loaded locking button (12), the stop can be set between 0 and 45 mm, corresponding to the desired length of cable left unstripped, from the rear face of the block, the setting being indicated on a graduated scale (10) in a slot (9) on the block.
