A rectangular box type enclosure for electrical/electronic equipment has a housing (4) and cover (1) each provided with the hollow cylindrical corner turrets (6, 3) for the fastened components. Each corner fastener comprises a 1/4 turn bayonet locking assembly in which the preformed bayonet locking ring (16) is secured to the housing (4) at the point (18) by adhesive or ultrasonic welding. A fastener component (9) provided with bayonet spigots (19) and bifurcated stem (11) accepts a winged or slotted operating stud (7) retained in the stem by snap connection and a compression spring (8) ensures positive engagement of the spigots (19) with the ring (16) after 1/4 turn action to secure the cover (1).
