Diaphragm spring clutch, contg. flywheel on IC engine crankshaft

On the flywheel is secured a clutch housing and a compression plate in non-rotatably fastened on the flywheel or clutch housing with axial shift freedom. It is spring biassed towards the flywheel by a diaphragm spring (6). Between the compression plate and flywheel is fitted a clutch drive with friction linings.The spring characteristic of the diaphragm spring is adjustable in dependence on the actuating path. The clutch has also a diaphragm actuating system. The spring characteristic is such that its rising branch, on the other side of declutch position, has a zero passage in the negative force range.
