PURPOSE: To certainly detect the conversion of a flaglike member while enhancing the reliability of subsequent operation by providing the flaglike member protruding to the outside from a moving stand in connection with the detachment of an ink cartridge, a means detecting the protruding position of the flaglike member and a return means returning the flaglike member to a non-protruding position from the protruding position. CONSTITUTION: When the ink residual amt. in an ink cartridge 18 is insufficient at the tie of recording, the ink cartridge 18 is replaced. A flaglike member 19 is displaced by this replacing operation. That is, the flaglike member is pushed up at one end thereof by the projection 18a of the cartridge 18 to be revolved and displaced. Next, when the newly filled cartridge 18 is mounted on a moving stand 2 at a predetermined position, the member 19 is not pushed back by the projection 18a to hold its position. When the moving stand 2 loaded with the cartridge 18 is moved toward a cam member 22, a sensor 21a can not detect the member 19 even when the member 19 approaches and, therefore, the replacement of the cartridge 18 can be known. A part of the member 19 comes into contact with the slope of the cam member 22 by the movement of the moving stand and the member 19 is revolved in the vertical direction with the movement of the moving stand to return to the state before replacement. |
