SUBSTANCE: method involves providing form and resin content of compound with optical properties; performing preliminary molding of lens from plastic material; joining preliminarily molded lens with form so as define cavity enclosing resin compound; solidifying resin compound. Cavity may be imparted shape providing: required variation of curvature; correction of final lens in optical center giving the same results as correction of preliminarily molded lens. Preliminarily molded lens may be covered with thin layer serving as carrier for multifocal or progression zone of completely processed lens. EFFECT: simplified method and improved quality of lens.
