An analog switch (30) is provided on the input side of an A/D converter (16) provided on a line on which analog data of an original image read out by a CIS unit (15) for reading out original images is transferred to an image processing unit (40). A channel changeover signal for the analog switch (30) and a start signal for the A/D converter (16) are controlled so that the A/D conversion of a signal from a fixing temperature control thermistor (29) is performed in a spare time generated due to the difference between a charge accumulation time in an original image reading out operation by the CIS unit (15) and a data transfer time.
