<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electronic sphygmomanometer which has a minimum blood pressure decision system clear theoretically while being high in measuring accuracy and reliability. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is provided with a pressure cuff 1, a pump 3 to pressurize the pressure cuff 1, a pressure sensor 2 to detect a pressure in the cuff 1 to be pressurized with the pump 3, a fast exhaust valve 4 for fast exhaustion of a fluid in the cuff 1, a fine speed exhaust valve 5 for fine speed exhaustion of the fluid in the cuff 1 and a CPU8 having a blood pressure value determining function or the like to determine the maximum and minimum blood pressure values based on changes in the wave form of a pulse wave. Thus, in the determination of the minimum blood pressure, the minimum blood pressure is calculated by using a flat method in the normal operation and a threshold method in the detection of abnormality.</p> |
