<p>PURPOSE: To lessen an intermediate ring in axial thickness by a method wherein a spacer is added penetrating through an intermediate yoke. CONSTITUTION: An iron core is composed of three main legs formed of laminated silicon steel plate, an upper end yoke 3 and a lower end yoke 4 which connect the ends of the main legs, and an intermediate yoke 50 which connects the intermediate parts of the main legs. Joints between the main legs and the yokes 3, 4, and 50 are formed in such a manner that the ends of laminated silicon steel plates are obliquely cut, and the obliquely cut surfaces of steel plates are bonded together overlapping with each other layer by layer. The intermediate yoke 50 is split into two pieces, and a gap between them is secured by a spacer. A spacer 17 is additionally provided to the gap just under a winding. The spacer 17 is interposed between intermediate rings 8 and 9 to serve as a support which protects them against deflection. By this setup, an intermediate ring is lessened in axial thickness, and a transformer is decreased in height as a whole and manufacturing cost.</p> |
