Control system for welding power sources suffering no electrical disturbances

Resistance welding unit has a transducer (2) on the welding head (1) connected to a fibre optic (3) in the welding cable. A sensor (4) in the transistor unit is connected by an operation amplifier (5) with an opto-coupler (6), contg. a light source supplied by a battery. A receiver unit (8) is connected with the fibre optic and a remote control socket at the welding unit (7). The receiver unit also contains an opto-coupler (9) and a control circuit. Electric pulses from the sensor are sent to the receiver unit and converted again to electric pulses.
