PURPOSE: To obtain a herbicidal composition which shows high safety to beet and can efficiently control true grass weeds and broad leaf weeds hazardous to beet cultivation. CONSTITUTION: This herbicidal composition comprises, as active ingredients, (A) a fluoropropylthiazoline derivative of formula I, which manifests excellent herbicidal effect on true grass weeds and broad leaf weeds in foliage treatment, as it shows high safety to beet in a low dose, but is poor against some broad leaf weeds, and (B) at least one selected from phenmedipham of formula II, ethofumesate of formula III, chloridazon of formula IV, metamitron of formula V and triflusulfuron-methyl of formula VI, which have been practically used as a herbicide for beet, but is poor against true glass weeds and some broad leaf weeds. The amount of component B is 0.01-500pts.wt., preferably 0.1-100 pts.wt. per l pt.wt. of component A. |
