PURPOSE: To highly sensitively and reliably prevent overheating by composing a MOSFET switch, a diode with high sensitivity to temperature, and a control circuit in one integrated circuit and lower the production cost and the cost of the whole system by miniaturizing the whole system. CONSTITUTION: A voltage-adjusting circuit 200 is produced as a single integrated circuit chip. Alternatively, the circuit 200 is produced in a single integrated circuit chip, while being combined with an overheating prevention circuit. In this case, a TrQ1, which is a p-channel MOSFET transistor is connected in series between a positive pole of a battery cell 202 and a positive outside connection part (+) of a battery, and the negative pole of the cell 202 is connected to a negative outside connection part (-). The gate of the TrQ1 is connected to an output connection part 218 of a control circuit 204. TrQ1, a heat sensitive diode, and the circuit 204 are formed as a single integrated circuit and buried in a container of a battery, and the operation of the TrQ1 is controlled by the circuit 204, so that the whole body of the system can be miniaturized and the system operation can be improved.
