Seal intended to be fixed, preferably in a tamper-proof manner, to the fish, specifically at the junction between the tail and the spine of the fish. It consists of two parts or valves 1 which close, one over the other, in order to press the fish's tail between them. The valves 1 are immobilized by a preferably non-reversible closure mechanism such as toothed tabs (flanges) 4 which connect with complementary, opposite grooves 5. The rear part of the seal has a preferably ergonomic opening 6 for gripping and carrying. The wide outer surface of the seal allows the application of any known identification and labelling system. <IMAGE>
