PURPOSE:To avoid dangerous conditions such as the fuming and combustion of a cell by a simple method by performing more than two times a changing/ discharging cycle where charging is carried out at current density higher than specified one as cell usage pretreatment. CONSTITUTION:As cell usage pretreatment for a cell employing electrolyte where ion dissociation lithium salt is dissolved in non-aqueous solvent, a charging/discharging cycle where discharging takes place at current density higher than 1mA/cm, is repeated more than two times. After the cell has been manufactured, if a first discharge takes place at current density higher than 1mA/cm, a surface film over the entire surface of lithium is destroied. This constitution thereby permits lithium to be deposited all over the surface of lithium at the time charging to be made from that time on, thereby permits its form to be excellent in smoothness, and also permits its thermal stability to be enhanced. Therefore, the dangerous condition of the cell can thereby be avoided by a simple method. |
