PURPOSE:To obtain an output image with a proper density independently of resolution or the like when image data are outputted and to prevent deterioration in the image quality attended with converted resolution. CONSTITUTION:Image data read by a contact sensor section 101 in the case of copying are converted into desired density data by a luminance-density conversion table 104, a resolution conversion section A105 applies resolution conversion to the data in matching with the resolution of an ink jet printer 110 and an error propagation processing section 106 binarizes the data by the error propagation method and the image data subject to binarization are outputted by the ink jet printer 110. A luminance-density conversion table 104 is a table to decide a density characteristic of image data received based on prescribed pattern data. |
