PURPOSE:To provide a character string layout method and device capable of inserting a character string by changing a character arranging method (format) in accordance with the contents of the character string in the case of inserting the character string into a prescribed layout area into which characters can be inputted. CONSTITUTION:A character string is inputted (step S1), the attribute of the inputted character string is discriminated (step S4), character arrangement corresponding to the discriminated attribute is selected (step S5) and the attribute of a layout area into which the character string is to be inserted is acquired (step S6). Then the character is rearranged in accordance with the selected character array and the attribute of the layout area (step S7) and the rearranged character string is outputted by a prescribed format (step S8). |
