Method of changing sheet stack on print machine

A feeder (2) and a delivery device (3) each have an associated non-stop stack changer station, whereby a changeover process is initiated when a defined limiting stack height is reached. When the limit is reached the sheet path is interrupted for a defined period to produce a gap (L) in the sheet flow through the machine. When the gaps arrive the machine is successively switched off and then started again. The stack changing process is controlled (17) to take place during the gaps in the sheet flow. When the stack changeover process ends the sheet flow is restarted. At the end of the gaps in the flow processing stations in the machine are successively switched on and the machine is driven again at production speed.
