PURPOSE:To provide an exhaust gas weight measuring method using a trace gas to precisely measure the weight of a specified component at real time, said component is contained in a sample gas whose flow rate fluctuates greatly. CONSTITUTION:As a trace gas GT, a gas to which an analyzer is sensitive and which is not contained in an exhaust gas GE at a prescribed flow rate is mixed with an exhaust gas GE discharged out of an internal combustion engine 1, the concentration CX(O) of the trace gas GT in the exhaust gas GE and the concentration CY of a specified component contained in the exhaust gas GE are measured by one multicomponents-analyzing apparatus 6, and discharged weight WY of the specified component is calculated from these measured concentration values. |
