PURPOSE:To obtain a charging apparatus by which an erroneous detection and a detection mistake are avoided when a fully charged state is detected and which can perform a charging operation surely by a method wherein a plurality of kinds of information on the charging operation of a secondary battery are operated and charging electric power is controlled on the basis of an operated result. CONSTITUTION:A power-supply means 1 supplies electric power as a basis of electric power to be supplied to a secondary battery 3. An arithmetic means 4 operates a plurality of kinds of information on the probability of a fully charged state estimated from the voltage of the secondary battery 3, on the probability of a fully charged state estimated from a voltage displacement amount, on the time and on a temperature regarding the charging operation of the battery 3, and operated results are sent to a control means 2. The control means 2 controls the charging electric power to be supplied to the secondary battery 3. As contents of this control the ON/OFF operation of the supply of the charging electric power, the adjustment of a charging electric- power amount and the like are enumerated. Thereby, it is possible to avoid an erroneous detection and a detection mistake due to the influence of ambient surroundings in the detection of a fully charged state, and a charging operation can be performed safely and surely. |
