PURPOSE:To provide a solid electrolyte type fuel cell whose sealing property is improved. CONSTITUTION:A seal material 8 is fused together between a collecting plate (or separator) 3' and a cell 2 for power generation, and a refractory wool material 12 is provided outside this seal material 8. When it reaches a high temperature of 1000 deg.C at power generation, the viscosity of a glass seal material 8 drops, and it flows out, and fuses together with the refractory wool material 12. As a result, firm coupling manifests itself between the seal material 8 and the refractory wool material 12, and favorable seal property can be gotten. Moreover, for the seal material 8, a material of low fusing point, which was difficult of application hitherto, can be selected by coupling with the refractory wool material 12, and the degree of fusion can be strengthened. |
