PURPOSE:To give safe and easy access to a bathtub by forming projections (ruggedness) for an antiskid means integrally with the bathtub on the upper edge of the bathtub. CONSTITUTION:A bathtub 1 is provided with a plurality of projections 14 for an antiskid means on the surface of the upper edge 13. The employed projections are shaped into smooth semicircular ones, safe and difficult to slip due to multiple effects, even if one's hand is put on the wet projections. The height of the projection 14 from the surface of the upper edge 13 of the bathtub is set in the range of 1-5mm or preferably 2-3mm. Thus, an excellent antiskid effect and beautiful appearance are provided. Also, the projections 14 are molded integrally with the bathtub 1 in the molding of the bathtub 1. Other shapes of the projection such as a grating type may be employed for the projection. |
