PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption without deteriorating a call termination rate by lengthening the timing of a receiving part power supply ON/OFF control signal when the remaining amount of a battery is small. CONSTITUTION:When the remaining amount detected by a battery remaining amount detecting part 31 becomes below a prescribed value, a remaining amount control part 31 selects a pulse 20 as the output of a frequency divider circuit 2. When the pulse 20 is selected, battery consumption per unit time is reduced to half as clearly as from the comparison of square waves 21, 22, and the usable time of the battery can be lengthened. Thus, the mean power consumption can be reduced without deteriorating the call termination rate to its own station. In the case that the frequency of a terminating call is low, or when the speed of response time is not requested, the remaining amount of the battery is detected, and if the remaining amount is small, the mean power consumption can be reduced without deteriorating the call termination rate by lengthening the timing of the receiving part power supply ON/OFF control signal. Besides, by lengthening the timing of the receiving part power supply ON/OFF control signal only for a definite period of time, the mean power consumption can be reduced. |
