METHOD FOR FORMATION OF IMAGE THROUGH IMAGE-FORMED INFRARED-SENSITIZED THERMAL PHOTOGRAPHIC SUPPLY

PURPOSE: To make the article usable in graphic art laser recording by combining a specified halation preventive layer. CONSTITUTION: This thermal photographic element consists of an IR-sensitized photographic silver halide element including a supporting layer having a thermal photographic composition on >=1 face. The composition is contained as the combination with a binder, non-photosensitive silver source, silver ion reducing agent and the halation preventive layer of the IR-sensitive preform silver halide grains with all the grains having±0.05μm size on average and <=0.10μm number average grain diameter and having >=30 unexposed IR absorbance-to-exposed visible light absorbance ratio, >=0.3 IR absorbance at 750-1400nm and <=0.03 optical density in the visible range. Accordingly, the element is exposed through the picture-formed and developed thermal photographic element or easily made visible.
