<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for decision of the checking result of correctness of the read data on the timer value that is carried out by a microprogram and to improve the timer reading performance by reading out the the value of a reading register after the higher rank words of a timer are read. CONSTITUTION:A timer 1, a selector 2, a register 7 and an adder 10 are stored in an LSL'A', and the registers 3 and 4 are stored in an LSI'B' respectively. The timer 1 consists of 8 bytes, and the adder 10 counts up the value of the timer 1 in response to an updating pulse of 1 microsecond. Then the register 7 always reads the lower 4 bytes out of the timer 1, and the selector 2 selects the higher 4 bytes of the timer 1 and the value of the register 7 under the control of a microprogram. Thus the register 7 temporarily reads the lower or higher 4 bytes out of the timer 1, and the higher or lower 4 bytes of the timer 1 and the value of the register 7 are continuously read out and sent to both registers 3 and 4.</p> |
